Nuts, seeds and dry fruits: know your mix

A straightforward way to recognise the different ingredients in a daily mix and read its label.

At a glance

  • Ingredient names tell you more than the front image.
  • Different mixes contain different foods.
  • Check allergens rather than assuming a mix is suitable.

A colourful mix can contain several kinds of food, but the names on the ingredient list are the best starting point. Understanding what is present helps you choose something you enjoy and avoid ingredients that do not suit you.

Recognise the ingredients

Almonds, cashews, walnuts and pistachios are familiar nut ingredients. Pumpkin, sunflower and other edible seeds may add another texture. Raisins and dates are examples of dried fruit. The exact combination varies between products; the foods pictured on a box do not establish the proportions inside it.

Look beyond the main ingredients

Check whether the list includes added oils, sweeteners, salt or flavourings. A product can look similar to another mix while having a different formulation. Read the complete list rather than relying only on a headline such as “natural” or “premium”.

Keep allergen information separate

An ingredient list and an allergen declaration serve related but different purposes. Read both, including any statement about possible cross-contact. A seed-containing mix is not necessarily free from nuts, and a familiar product name is not a reason to skip checking a new pack.

Choose for everyday use

  • Pick a texture and flavour you actually enjoy.
  • Check the stated serving and total pack quantity.
  • Follow the storage guidance after opening.

A varied ingredient list can be appealing, but it does not make a mix a replacement for a varied diet. Use the label to understand this food in the context of the other foods you eat.

Compare Zubeka packs using the ingredients, daily serving and total pack quantity shown on the product page. The delivered label remains the source for batch-specific information.
